IBM is taking the lead to radically simplifying business application deployment for small to midsized businesses with its Smart Business Platform - a single offering of server and appliance hardware, software, on-line marketplace, and supply chain/fulfillment. CFXWorks has enhanced its existing certified payment card solution (NovaXpress) and added support specifically for the IBM Smart Market. This new offering, CreditCardXpress (CCX), should radically reduce the time and effort required for merchants to implement a PCI DSS compliant payment card solution.

CreditCardXpress submits payment card (credit, purchase and debit cards) transactions using the internet. It connects the merchant's system to Elavon (formerly Nova Information Systems) the third largest credit card processor in North America. Elavon processes over a billion transactions annually for nearly a million merchant locations. Elavon is rated the number 1 processing network by MasterCard® for speed, availability and reliablilty.

CreditCardXpress sends transactions directly to Elavon for processing, bypassing 3rd party processors. By communicating directly with Elavon the merchant eliminates the costs and hassle involved with interacting with 3rd party processors. This also enables the merchant to negotiate their fee structure directly with Elavon rather than with a third party processor who typically adds additional processing and service fees.

CreditCardXpress can be purchased through the IBM Smart Market as a part of the Blue Cube offering. Alternatively, for those wanting to deploy CreditCardXpress on systems other than IBM's Blue Cube, CFXWorks offers a no charge version of CreditCardXpress called CreditCardXpress Community Edition (CCXCE).

CreditCardXpress Community Edition is available in three versions:

• CreditCardXpress Community Edition with support for Apache Tomcat and IBM's DB2 Express-C database.



• CreditCardXpress Community Edition with support for Apache Tomcat and MySQL database.



• CreditCardXpress Community Edition with support for Apache Tomcat and Microsoft SQL Server database.
