There are many similarities between our Payment Card offerings, however, there are some significant differences.

CreditCardXpress® (Web Service Solution)

CreditCardXpress is built on top of and uses NovaXpress to handle submitting transactions to Elavon. CreditCardXpress is also implemented in Java and runs on IBM's WebSphere Java Application Server. It also uses IBM's DB2 database. CreditCardXpress is implemented using an Identity Access Management (IAM) capability that provides access control and authentication capabilities that are not available in the NovaXpress offering. CreditCardXpress also implements many of the security features required by PCI DSS including strong encryption. CreditCardXpress also provides a web services interface that can be used by the merchant to integrate a shopping cart and/or back office systems. Some merchants will be able to implement CreditCardXpress without writing Java code. Merchants wanting to integrate CreditCardXpress with back office systems will be required to write HTML and/or Java code.

CreditCardXpress can be purchased through the IBM Smart Market as a part of the Blue Cube offering. Alternatively, for those wanting to purchase and deploy CreditCardXpress on systems other than IBM's Blue Cube, CFXWorks offers a no charge version of CreditCardXpress called CreditCardXpress Community Edition (CCXCE).

CFXWorks has three versions of CreditCardXpress Community Edition:

CreditCardXpress Comunity Edition with support for Apache Tomcat and IBM's DB2 Express-C database.

CreditCardXpress Comunity Edition with support for Apache Tomcat and MySQL database.

CreditCardXpress Comunity Edition with support for Apache Tomcat and Microsoft SQL Server database.

NovaXpress^TM 400 (IBM iSeries Solution)

NovaXpress400 provides RPG programmers access to most of the NovaXpress SDK capabilites through a data queque interface. Therefore, RPG programmers do not require Java programming knowledge to access the NovaXpress SDK payment card, convenience fee or encryption capabilites.
